Serve
Live your faith by serving others.
We believe every follower of Jesus is called to serve the Lord — in their neighborhood and across the world. At Columbia, we create opportunities for you to use your gifts to love, support, and serve others in tangible ways.

International Opportunities
Be part of what God is doing around the world.
Through global partnerships, short-term trips, and long-term relationships, we support ministries bringing hope, healing, and the Gospel to the nations.
World Vision
We engage with World Vision through Child Sponsorship and Area Development Projects. Child sponsorship is a way for people to be involved in the ministry of World Vision by directly supporting and building a relationship with their sponsored child. Today, we encourage selecting a child in Lour-Ribor, Senegal, in order to leverage our collective impact. Those who sponsor a child in Senegal through World Vision typically have the opportunity to meet their sponsored child if they become a member of the CPC Go Team.

Clean Water for Haiti
Through a biosand filter program, Clean Water for Haiti is providing access to clean water in communities throughout Haiti. Lives are saved, and families gain control over their health and the water they consume – one filter at a time.
Haiti Foundation of Hope
Haiti Foundation of Hope is a Christian organization addressing the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the people in the impoverished and underserved rural communities of northern Haiti.

Beer Sheba
Eric Toumieux runs Beer Sheba, an agro-ecological center located south of Dakar, Senegal. Eric teaches young Senegalese men and women sustainable and organic farming techniques for use in arid climates while also teaching them basic ministry skills and Bible knowledge. They are then sent back to their home villages to share the skills they have learned.

Mission Inter Senegal
Mission Inter Senegal is an evangelical ministry involved in church planting, meeting earthly needs, as well as spiritual needs of the people with whom it works. One of the largest arms is the Barthimee hospital located in Thies, where medical care is provided for a nominal fee in the “Name of Jesus.”

Nicodemus Project
Leopold Diouf began an evangelism project in the area of Baba Garage. He has brought in various Senegalese Christians to assist him and trains missionaries so that they can become more effective.

Malick and Feluine Fall
Malick Fall has a widely heard radio ministry, and Feluine Fall works with women and children in St. Louis, Senegal. Through her work, young women are trained in life skills, job skills, and literacy. She also leads a children’s ministry, and both Malick and Feluine reach out to the Talibe – young boys given to Muslim leaders for Koranic training who often end up begging for money, suffering abuse, poor health, and hunger.

Pastor Ngor
Pastor Ngor Faye, a Senegalese Presbyterian minister serving among the Serer people in Diakhao, Senegal. Pastor Ngor launched a literacy program to teach adults (primarily women) to read and do basic arithmetic, along with children’s clubs for recreation and learning. Columbia partners with Pastor Ngor by providing personal support for his family and helping sustain these ministries, which began with World Vision and are now self-supporting.

Senegal Go Team
The Go Team is normally comprised of 6-9 people and is a blend of returning Go Team members and those new to the making the trip. The purpose of our trips is to support our missionary partners and the indigenous Christian church in Senegal. These individuals work with the Wolof and Serer people groups to build relationships and share their faith. Relationships are valued very highly by both the Wolof and Serer people group. The Christian community in Senegal looks forward to our periodic visits and asks that we continue coming as it reinforces that they are “not alone” and that there are many Christians here in the United States praying for and supporting their work. Applications to be part of the Go Team are typically available annually in June and July. The trip occurs annually in January and/or February.
Missionary Families
Supporting those who go.
We’re committed to walking alongside the missionary families from the following organizations. Through prayer, encouragement, and financial support, we partner with them as they share the love of Christ around the world.
